Terms of service

These terms govern your use of this website and any order you place on it. The site is operated by Atelier Jeans ("we", "us"). By placing an order you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not order.

1. The products

Everything we sell is made to order. Because each pair is cut and sewn individually, small differences between pairs are normal and are not faults: the seam line is never in exactly the same place twice, and the wash varies slightly from piece to piece. Photographs on this site are taken as accurately as we can, but colour on a screen is never an exact match for cloth.

2. Sizes

Measurements in the size guide are the measurements of the garment and are given in good faith, with a normal tolerance for hand-finished clothing. If a pair does not fit, the Refund policy applies.

3. Prices and payment

All prices are shown in US dollars and include no import duty or local tax that your country may charge on arrival; see the Shipping policy. We may change prices at any time, but never for an order that has already been placed. Payment is taken when you order, which is what allows production to start.

4. Orders

Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it by sending you a confirmation email. We may decline an order — for example if an item cannot be made, if a price was shown incorrectly, or if we cannot ship to your address — and if we do, you are refunded in full and owe us nothing. Cancellation before production starts is covered in the Refund policy.

5. Returns

You have 30 days from delivery to return an item. The full terms are in the Refund policy, which forms part of these terms.

6. Your account and your details

You are responsible for the accuracy of the address and contact details you give us, and for keeping any account password to yourself. How we handle your personal data is set out in the Privacy policy.

7. Our content

The designs, photographs, text and layout on this site are ours. You are welcome to share a link or a product photo when you are talking about the product; you may not copy the designs or reuse the material commercially without our written permission.

8. Reviews and customer photographs

If you send us a photograph or a review, you allow us to show it on this site and on our social accounts alongside the product. Tell us and we will take it down.

9. Liability

We are responsible for the product we sell you and for getting it to you, and the Refund and Shipping policies say exactly what we do when something goes wrong. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect loss. Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Consumer rights

Nothing in these terms takes away any right you have under the consumer law of the country you live in. Where that law gives you more than these terms do, that law applies.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force for your order is the one published on the day you ordered, and the date at the top of this page says when it last changed.
